Guided Visit to San Diego

 Presented by Jumpstreet Educational Tours based in Montréal and well known for specializing in travel “en français.”

Board your private mini-bus at the hotel and experience a guided visit of the highlights of the San Diego region, with stops en route to take photos, enjoy lunch (on your own), and explore on foot Coronado Island and the coastal trails and charming streets and shops of La Jolla. A 3-course "gastronomique" dinner will be included before returning to the hotel.

10:00 am - Meet your professional francophone guide at the Wyndham Bayside Hotel.

10:30 am - Discover with your guide, the major sights of San Diego including:

  • Visit the village of La Jolla with its magnificent coastal trails and lovely boutiques.
  • Immerse yourself in the Spanish and Mexican history of San Diego visiting the festive cantinas and colorful boutiques of the Old City. (Opportunity to stop for lunch on your own.)
  • Explore the famous Balboa Park, a cultural oasis that includes 18 museums, splendid gardens and the San Diego Zoo.
  • Admire some of the spectacular sculptures by French artist Niki de Saint Phalle.
  • Enjoy the amazing view of the city from Coronado Island. Walk in the sand and discover a charming collection of specialty boutiques, art galleries, restaurants, and of course the iconic Hotel Del Coronado.
  • Visits to other local attractions, weather and traffic conditions permitting.

 

6:00 pm - Finish off a lovely day with a 3-course gourmet dinner. Enjoy the opportunity to bavarder en français and share highlights of your day.

8:00 pm - Return to the hotel for a well-earned good night’s sleep.
