Details for all evening activities offered at the AATF Convention
Finish the convention in style with the first-ever karaoke night! Warm-up your singing voice, brush up on your favorite French-language song, and join us from 19h30-21h30 in Pacific A for a night of singing and dancing. This event is free and no ticket is required. Venez nombreux! Join us for our dinner groups, Dîner en ville avec des ami.e.s, on Sunday July 7 and Tuesday July 9. Sign up at the registration table, meet the group by the registration table and be escorted to a restaurant by a local chapter member. Each person will pay for his/her/their own meal, but will eat in the company of other AATF members. France 2 Documentary "Noirs en France" screening at 19h002022 documentary "Noirs en France" directed by Aurélia Perreau and narrated by Alain Mabanckou. In this film, Mabanckou follows the stories of people whose only commonalities are the color of their skin and the racism that they encounter. He gives a voice to Black French people of all ages and backgrounds by asking them to share what it means to be Black in France in 2022. The documentary was produced for television by France Télévisions/Bangumi and shown initially on France 2. 1hr 45 minutes.
M. Mabanckou will be present for the screening and, following the film, will participate in a Q & A with the audience and be available for a book signing.
Cooking Class with Lili: "Pan Bagnat revisité "
Learn to make the Pan Bagnat with a Vietnamese twist!
Pan Bagnat is the perfect picnic sandwich from the Provence region of France.
With Chef Lili, Pan Bagnat comes with a Vietnamese twist!
Instead of the traditional round bread, she uses banh mi and stuffs it with tomatoes, black niçoise olives, bell peppers, anchovies, and tuna, just like they do it in Nice.
Lili will also speak about the relationship that links France to Vietnam.
