Social Media in Schools: How to navigate the networks. Social media creators provide a treasure trove of authentic resources for our students. From posts to videos to comment sections, students have the opportunity to peer through the windows of target countries and an invitation to open the door to communication with native speakers. With these wonderful resources, however, come responsibilities and restrictions that classroom educators might face, including blocked websites and concerns for student safety while navigating the unfiltered world of social media. This webinar will provide tips for safely incorporating social media into lessons and ways for educators to simulate social media use to help students feel connected in familiar ways when social media use is not possible in the classroom environment.
