Description: St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Dover, NH is seeking a qualified FRENCH TEACHER for
grades 9-12 for the 2024-2025 school year. The ideal candidate will:

● possess a strong subject background, teaching experience, and a solid understanding of
high school curriculum in French.
● demonstrate an understanding of and implement the ACTFL Standards for proficiency-
based language teaching and learning.
● bring enthusiasm, energy, and passion to the classroom setting through a variety of
teaching and learning practices.
● connect positively with both students and families.
● support the Catholic mission of the school and engage fully in the life of the school
community.
● demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
● explore collaborative and interdisciplinary teaching relationships with colleagues.
● use educational technology as a means for student gains and instructional design.

Education and Experience
● A Bachelor’s Degree in French or related field is required, with a Master’s degree preferred.
● One to three years of high school teaching experience, or applicable practicum/related
program, is preferred.
● Possession of New Hampshire state certification in appropriate subject area and/or the
ability to work toward state certification.
