French Teacher 1.0 Probationary
Burnt Hills- Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking a dedicated and passionate French Teacher to join our high school faculty. Our district values innovation, student engagement, and a commitment to fostering a strong world language program. We are looking for an educator who can inspire students to develop language proficiency and cultural appreciation through engaging and interactive instruction.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality French language instruction for high school students.
Develop lesson plans that align with New York State Learning Standards
Implement a variety of instructional strategies to support different learning styles and proficiency levels.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages language acquisition and cultural understanding.
Assess student progress using a range of formative and summative assessments.
Integrate technology and authentic materials to enhance language learning.
Collaborate with colleagues in the World Languages department to develop curriculum and participate in professional development.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff to support student learning and achievement.
Contribute to the distance learning network
Qualifications:
NYS Certification in French 7-12 (or eligibility for certification).
Strong command of the French language and knowledge of culture.
Ability to create an engaging, student-centered learning environment.
Proficiency in integrating instructional technology into the classroom.
