Brise-Glace/Icebreaker: Octagon Connections

Posted by: Penny Hensler

This is an Icebreaker activity. It is a very fun activity to encourage students to get to know each other better- great activity for the beginning of the year.  Students each have an octagon on which they put an answer to each one of the prompts (that the teacher will display in class). They decorate with colors and drawings and cut it out.  Students try to find things they have in common with their group members and then the class in order to connect all octagons.  These are great to post in the classroom when done.  This activity promotes lots of positive energy and lots of group work.
